SPECIAL TREATMENT PROCEDURES AVAILABLE
FOR YOUR PET

VETERINARY SURGERY
We offer a range of soft tissue surgeries which include routine spays and neuters, tumor
removal, biopsies, to more advanced procedures such as hip surgery, bone
grafts and obstruction removal.
At Pet Vet Credit Valley Hospital, we endeavor to
keep your pet's pain to a minimum. We offer pain management
treatments that include pain patches, both injectable and oral pain
medications, and CRI (Constant Rate Infusion) during post operative recovery. We will take every measure to eliminate your pet's pain and any stress
related problems experienced from surgery or treatment procedures. Our
veterinary doctors and staff will treat your pet with the same care and
compassion as if your pet were their own pet.

DIGITAL RADIOLOGY
Digital veterinary X-Ray equipment ensures your pet has minimal exposure to
radiation, while providing our doctors with the very best digital imaging
available to evaluate your pet's condition and determine the best form of
treatment. At Pet Vet Credit Valley Hospital, we offer many other diagnostic evaluations to help you and the doctor choose the best
course of care for your pet.

VETERINARY ULTRASOUND
Veterinary ultrasound allows the doctors
to examine your pet without invasive or painful
procedures. This pain free, non stressful procedure assists the doctor in
diagnosing abdominal, cardiac, urinary, cervical, and many other problems your
pet may be experiencing. Veterinary ultrasound also helps the doctor in establishing a
diagnosis and treatment plan to keep your pet happy and healthy for life.
JOINT REPAIR
At
Pet Vet Credit Valley Hospital, we can arrange by appointment to
have a Veterinary specialist come on-site should your pet's
condition require a specific treatment procedure. In addition we
perform "cruciate repair" which is a very common injury found in
dogs. Traumatic cruciate damage is caused by a twisting injury to
the knee joint. This is most often seen in dogs when running and
suddenly changing direction so that the majority of the weight is
taken on the knee joint. Just as in humans, the knee joint is then
unstable and causes extreme pain, often resulting in lameness. The
injury also occurs commonly in obese dogs, just by stumbling over a
pebble while walking. A more chronic form of cruciate damage can
occur due to weakening of the ligaments as a result of disease. The
condition can be successfully treated with surgery, and we maintain
orthopedic specialists on-site to perform cruciate repair. If your
dog begins to show signs of lameness or pain upon walking, you
should contact us immediately for your pet to be examined and
evaluated by one of our veterinary specialists.
