Here is a picture of our Sweet Angel, Shelby. She is a kind and gentle dog that is now 10 years old. She visits Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. Their friendly atmosphere makes a visit to the vet a pleasant experience.
We Love Our Dog!
Our thanks to the Hughes family for this wonderful photo!
"Little Bear" is the beautiful blue fawn color, and "Deja" is red. These two best buddies love to snuggle up on a soft quilt any chance they get.
When not snuggled up on their quilt, Little Bear & Deja like to take their place on the family sofa including their own fancy pillow! Both Deja and Bear are patients of Dr. Balaj, but sometimes also visit Dr. Brewster and Dr. Rajewski at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
Our thanks to Mike & Julie for these great pictures!
Here's a very special family of Daschunds who all attend Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital where they love to visit whenever they need any kind of health care.
Our thanks to their "Mom" Marleen for this great photo!
Rosey, formally “Westrick's Wild Irish Rose”, is a Treeing Walker Coonhound who will be ten years old on St. Patrick's Day. She loves to run and bark in the yard which backs up to a nature preserve where there are a lot of wild critters to keep her occupied. Rosey is a wonderful companion to her “Mom” and her housemate, a cat named “Abby”. Rosey’s “Mom” has been a client of Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital for at least 30 years.
Like many of us, Rosey has finally reached the age, that when she wants to watch television, she has to put on her glasses!
Our thanks to Patricia Watson for these wonderful pictures!
Here are “Curica” (white) and “Plava” (blue). Curica just turned 12 and Plava is 7.
Plava could play the lead character on "To Catch a Thief" . . . she could snitch your piece of bread right from your plate before you ever knew it, but she could also do the same with a kiss on your face!
Curica is the angel of all four legged friends . . . and has the wisdom of an ancient god. She is more like the “Boss” of the house. Life with these two girls is most complete! Our thanks to DK for these terrific pictures !
Hi! My name is Toby, and I am the newest member of my "forever family".
I came from the Anti-Cruelty Association because I was not being treated as I should have been. I just recently saw Dr. Balaj at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital, and he says I'm in pretty good shape considering what I went through in my previous life. I really like him a lot! Now I enjoy every day "on the farm" !
Here I am with my brothers and sisters, safe at home with my loving Mom, Peg Paquette.
Independence Mae or "Indy" as she is known is a 3-year old that her parents got from German Shepherd Rescue. Indy was a little too friendly to become a Guide Dog, so she had to drop our of Leader Dog School. She loves going to visit Dr. Larry Rajewski at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Larry took care of Indy's sister, "Trek", (and Indy's human family) for nine years through numerous health problems. Dr. Larry is as happy as Indy's entire family at how healthy she is. Her sister, "Dayze", who is from the Macomb County Animal Shelter, also loves going to see Dr. Larry and Dr. Balaj, plus all the great ladies that work in the reception area at Harper Woods. Breeders sell all the dogs they breed - rescued dogs need help finding good homes so much more, and they are AWESOME dogs!
Our special thanks to Cindy Swica for this great photo!
This is "Shera", a one year old rescue puppy.
Shera is a very proud patient of Dr. Rajewski. She also loves all the attention the girls at the front desk give her every time she visits Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital!
Our thanks to Lisa Filipiak for this wonderful photo
Rosie the Rottweiler and Dolly the Boston have been clients of Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital since their "puppy" check-ups. Dr. Joel Katlein and staff get lots of doggy kissed from Dolly. Rosie is just one year old and her older "sister" Dolly is 4 years old. The get the VIP treatment when left for boarding. "Tootsie", our previous Rottweiler, also received exceptional care for the 10 years we had her.
Our thanks to the Gielniak Family for this wonderful photo!
Hi again! I'm "Sera" and you first met me when I was 4 months old. (Check out my baby pictures below!) I'm all grown up now and ready to go into "Headquarters" for training to be a "Paws with a Cause" service dog.
Thank you Dr. Balaj, at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital, for taking such good care of me. I'll miss my Dad and Mom, but I know I'll be helping someone special real soon!
My name is "Sera" and I like to visit my favorite friends at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital, especially Dr. Balaj. I am a 4-month old Black Lab foster puppy for "Paws with a Cause". I live with my chow sister "Ruby" and my Yorkie brother, "Rocky" in Lenox Township, and they also see Dr. Balaj.
I hope to become a service/assistance dog when I am big and strong. I love to play, eat and play some more. I think I make my foster parents, Rick and Peg, very tired with my playing. Thank you Dr. Balaj for making it fun to visit the doctor!
Here I am resting on my sister, "Ruby",
and this is my brother, "Rocky"
They're both pretty cute too!
Elliot & Nipsey are patients of Dr. Brewster's, and sometimes Dr. Balaj at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. As you can see, they are both quite photogenic, and thought they should have their pictures in the Harper Woods Online Pet Gallery!
Elliot is the black and white cat posing for his close-up, and Nipsey is the orange cat taking it easy on the sofa. Our thanks to Krista Somers for these great photos.
Taylor is a Golden Retriever mix who lives with her brother, Treavor, and Mom's Sara Taylor and Cheryl Johns.
Taylor was born July 28, 2004 and arrived at her new home in October of 2004.
Taylor is 7 months old in these pictures and grows bigger every day.
Taylor built this Snow Man all by herself . . .well, maybe she had just a little bit of help!
Taylor visits Dr. Larry Rajewski and Dr. David Balaj at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
Here's Dolly with her pet bird "Crescent".
Dolly lives with her family Chick, Amy & Charlie Taylor. Dolly is one of Dr. David Balaj's favorite patients at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
Here's sweet Abby, a 2-year old Dachshund. Abby is sporting a very fashionable collar, as you can see, and she loves to have her picture taken.
Our thanks to Lisa Gallu for this great picture!
"Zoie" is a beautiful 6-year old Great Dane who has a great sense of style, as you can see. "Zoie" just loves to visit her favorite doctors at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Balaj and Dr. Rajewski.
Sandy turned 14 years old on July 21, 2004. For most of her life, she has been taken care of by the wonderful doctors at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Rashewski is her favorite doctor, but Sandy likes all of them, including the ladies at the front desk who always give her little treats!
"Zakk" is a gorgeous Cockapoo puppy that everyone at Harper Wood Veterinary Hospital just loves to have visit them.
"Zakk" stands tall in his stylish coat that he models for the camera.
Of course, there's the occasional dirt eating, which can be a very messy business for his Mommy, Catrina Miller to clean up!
This is 8-year old "Munchie";
Here's 5-year old "Molly";
And last, but not least, here's 1 1/2 year old "Pixie". All 3 of these "kids" visit Dr. Larry Rajewski.
Our thanks to Dennis & Pat Barna for sharing these wonderful pictures.
"Treavor" is a gorgeous 8-year old Shetland Sheepdog and he's ready for Autumn! Treavor visits Dr. Larry Rajewski and Dr. David Balaj at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. Our thanks to Cheryl Johns and Sara Taylor for this great picture.
That's "Brooke", the Golden Retriever who is 3-years old, together with her best friend, "Remy", a black Labrador who is 2-years old. See what good girls they are!
But "Brooke" and "Remy" have a darker side . . . as you can see from all the mud!
They see Dr. Balaj and Dr. Katlein. Both girls are beautiful, happy and healthy. They love playing in the mud, going for walks, wrestling with each other and swimming. They also love to make their Mom, Jamie Ferguson, laugh every day!
My name is "Nigel" and I'm an English Bulldog. This is a picture of me at 4-months old. I love going to Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital because everyone gives me so much attention. It's almost as good as a trip to the park!
"Bonnie & Clyde" were "rescued" as they were being advertised as free kittens on a roadside hand-written sign. They were 6 weeks old then and are now 8 years old. They are brother and sister and greatly enjoy each other's company. They are often seen around the house lying identically for a snooze. They also enjoy swatting at their big brother "Sugar"s" tail and bird watching out the patio doorwall.
"Bonnie" is the black & white cat behind "Clyde" who is tiger striped.
"Sugar" is the big brother to Bonnie and Clyde. Tiffanie & Ken resuced "Sugar" from someone who could not take care of him. They have had him for over 7 years, which makes him about 10 years old now.
"Sugar" is very well mannered and sensitive, loves walks in the park, sleeping on freshly laundered bedding, and he especially likes eating bananas!
Bonnie, Clyde & Sugar are all taken care of by Dr. Katlein and the crew of Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
Hi! My name is "Owen" and I was adopted from the nice people at Feline Friends Rescue League. I am only 11 weeks old. I love to play and run around the house at high speeds! I also love to cuddle and am a big "purrrrr" machine. So far, I like to see my nice Vet, Dr. Denmark, at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital. Everyone holds me and tells me how adorable I am!
My name is just plain "Toad", but I wanted to say that my brother and sister who are dogs, just love going to visit their Vet, Dr. Larry Rajewski. As for myself, I've never had to go to the doctor. However, if I did need to go, I know I would be safe in the hands of the Harper Woods Veterinarians.
"Toad's" brother and sister are "Casey" and "Tori" pictured above, and their Mom is Linda Young.
Casey is a beautiful Golden Retriever who is 3 years old. Dr. Joel Katlien is her Veterinarian.
Casey is the third generation of the Pawelek family's pets to receive their veterinary care from Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
Harper Woods has been taking care of Casey and her parents and grandparents for over 30 years since they first opened their hospital back in 1958.
I'm "Samantha" I'm "Charlotte"
Hi Everyone! We're "Samantha" and "Charlotte". We've been coming to Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital since we were kittens. In fact, we were both adopted from Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital about 4 1/2 years ago.
Hi! My name is Midnight Blue. I've been going to Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital since I was just a baby. Now, I'm almost 10 years old. When my Mom's away, I'm really sad, but boarding at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital is so much fun ~ It's like a home away from home! The people there make you feel so loved, and they really treat you like they would treat their own special friend.
Hi! My name is Charlie. I am a two-pound Yorkie with tons of energy. I was born just three months ago. I love visiting the nice people at Harper Woods Veterinary Hospital.
