Vinny Boyaninsky, DVM
Senior Veterinarian
Dr. Boyaninsky earned his
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1990 from the University of Bulgaria.
He has been practicing in Ontario since May of 2000, following his licensing
by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario after passing his board and
surgical examinations. Dr. Boyaninsky, was born in
Bulgaria and practiced Veterinary medicine there for three and one-half
years. He moved to the United States where he lived for two and one-half
years before moving to Canada in 1996. He regularly attends
continuing education meetings to keep up to date on the
most current advances in Veterinary medicine, including
the Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas in 2007.
His special interest is in small animal surgery and
endoscopy. |

Dr. Boyaninsky lives in
Mississauga with his wife and two daughters. Their family is made complete
by their housecat “Paula” who is gray and white and was born in 1997. Dr.
Boyaninsky is fluent in three languages; English, Bulgarian and Russian. He
loves to play all sports in his spare time, but tennis is his passion.

Dainius Verbickas, DVM
Dr. Verbickas graduated from
the Ontario Veterinary College in 2004, having first earned his Bachelor of
Science in Animal Science from the Lithuanian Veterinary Academy in 1990.
He is married and has one son.
Dr. Verbickas has a special interest in
internal medicine and small exotics. In his spare time, he enjoys
reading, hiking, cycling and traveling, and just relaxing at home with his
cat.

Steven Hotten,
HBSc, DVM
Dr. Hotten graduated
in 1997 with an Honours degree in Biology from
University of Waterloo, and then Graduated in 2002 with
his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario
Veterinary College, University of Guelph.
Dr. Hotten has been practicing with Pet
Vet Hospitals since a short time after graduating from
OVC. He first started working at our practice in
Stoney Creek, and then was transferred to our Lakeshore
location and purchased a home in Port Credit. Dr.
Hotten enjoys the practice of small animal medicine and
surgery. He makes sure that Pet Vet has the latest
in state of the art equipment and excites the team about
using it.

On a personal note, Dr. Hotten lives in
Mississauga but often visits his family in Kitchener.
His best bud is his dog “Thunder”, a husky x malamute
who is a senior. He has a passion for sports and
motorcycle cruising. He spends much of his spare
time renovating his house and finds monitoring the stock
market fascinating. Dr. Hotten regularly attends
continuing education meetings to keep up to date on the
most current topics of Veterinary medicine. He is
especially interested in all types of small animal
surgery and many of the newer less invasive therapies
that assist in the healing process. |
