Pet Vet’s Pet Loss Program provides compassionate and professional support during your time of loss.
Services are provided by Angie Rupra,
M.S.W., R.S.W. who is a trained and registered social worker, and has worked in
the area of pet loss bereavement for over four years. While experiencing
the intense mourning journey after her companion pet Montey passed away, Angie
became involved in supporting others dealing with pet loss.
Angie is a member of the Ontario College of
Social Workers & Social Service Workers, the Ontario Association of Social
Workers, and the Association for Pet Loss & Bereavement.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Immediate Support
Support during and after euthanasia. In addition to the support provided by our trained Veterinary staff, our Program can be available for support during euthanasia. We can discuss options of memorializing your animal companion that are meaningful to you.

Monthly Support Group
If you are looking for peer-to-peer support to discuss your loss, join us at one of our Saturday morning support group meetings. Contact us for meeting days, times and locations.
Counseling
Short-term counseling: One-to-one sessions provide you with a safe place to deal with grief associated with the loss of your animal companion. Sessions are geared to your needs and go at your pace.
Long-term counseling: More in-depth and longer counseling involves exploring inner thoughts and experiences while dealing with present issues of loss.
Public Education
Contact us to access our pamphlets, newsletter, or in-house library.
We also offer a range of workshops and trainings to both the general public and animal care providers.
